This company had operated for almost a decade in a smaller way, sporting the predictable blue and white livery implanted on talented business people who once worked for "big blue". The Chief Executive had a business that was doubling in size every three months and starting to get deals much, much bigger than ever before... it needed creditablity. From discussion sprung an idea... Newport Capital. A fresh look at finance. Could be US in origin. Certainly it was memorable. A range of nautical visual possibilities were quickly developed and soon the channel buoy logo was chosen to represent the guidence this consultative organisation could provide to business contemplating moving into deep waters, looking for merges and acquisitions, for trade sales, or venture finance.

A corporate brochure, stationery, presentation folders and tender covers, key executive profiles, christmas cards and an interactive website where people could return to an up-to-date snapshot of industry rumours and potential deals were swiftly developed and produced to position Newport Capital as a leading advisors in information technology finance and banking. That association continues.
