a new image for a new market
SPIL (Sydney Personal Injury Lawyers) was developed as a brand from scratch for a company with several decades of experience and reputation in Personal Injury Law. While they had relationships with large insurance companies to defend claims, they could see that the plaintiff business had exceptional scope to grow.

SPIL was developed to demonstrate, humanity and vulnerability of the human form when hurt. The naked body in the logo attracts the eye of both male and female. The communications resulting from the logo concept were also designed to demonstrate empathy with the injured person, or their family, or friends. Long bus posters were developed with the message... "Ouch! you're hurt" and a simple website address contact where people could explore the options open to them for an injury sustained at work, in a motor vehicle accident, on the sports field, or even as a result of violent crime.

Injury is an emotionally charged environment, so empathy and information are the prime drivers for this brand... the Glenbrook train disaster happened while the brand was being developed. A few small ads later in the Blue Mountains local papers and our client had 43 actions to pursue. See examples of how this new brand has been interpreted by our design team into various contexts: business stationery, print ads and website.
