| Winding
river valleys, deep wooded gorges and long descents through forests
from towns perched on the steep slopes of the river, stunning scenery
and so few people, peace and tranquillity. The Tarn River district
is about 2 hours drive north east of Toulouse. It's duck and salmon
country with other delicacies to tantalise the palate accompanied
by a glass of delicious Gaillac wine. The Old Cathar city of Albi
with its museums and art galleries is a delight. Our holidays start May 1 on any day of the week, till September 30. Grade 1 – easy, by the river with Grade 2 and 3 in the hills. |
